Title I is a federally funded program where students receive additional supports to help them reach proficiency on state academic standards. The program is designed to ensure that all students have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education.
At Washington part of our Title I funds are used to provide additional staff to work with students in small groups for reading and math. Another portion of the funds goes towards materials used during classroom and intervention instruction. Lastly, Washington has put aside money for teachers to use on professional development.
